Packers taken down as Browns’ Joe Flacco sends huge message after Week 3 upset
Packers taken down as Browns’ Joe Flacco sends huge message after Week 3 upset 1 Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco (15) looks downfield for a receiver during the first half of an NFL football game against the Green Bay Packers at Huntington Bank Field, Sept. 21, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Of all the wild things that happened in the NFL on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers’ upset loss to Joe Flacco and the Cleveland Browns was perhaps the most surprising

The Packers had everyone thinking that they’re destined to make it to the Super Bowl after two dominant victories against quality teams in the first couple of weeks of the 2025 NFL regular season.

First, Green Bay embarrassed the Detroit Lions in Week 1. Second, the Packers crumpled the Washington Commanders in a Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 2. Week 3 had Green Bay matched up against a winless Browns side. Most signs point to a walk-in-the-park win for Jordan Love and company.

But the table was turned on Green Bay, as the Browns overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to steal a win from the jaws of defeat.

Browns’ Flacco speaks up after defeating Packers in Week 3 upset

Following the win, Flacco gave an honest reflection on the Browns pulling the rug out from under Green Bay.

Via the Associated Press (h/t ESPN):

“I think today, as tough as it can be, we won a football game, and it was hard,” said Joe Flacco, who completed 21 of 36 passes for 142 yards and an interception. “It’s hard when you’re in your own stadium and you can’t put points on the board and everybody feels it and you feel it, but you’ve got to keep going out there and doing your job and having faith that, you know, something’s going to happen and we’re going to get it done.”

The Packers’ inability to put together scoring drives in the face of Cleveland’s stout defense proved to be Green Bay’s downfall, even when considering the crucial blocked field goal attempt by kicker Brandon McManus late in the contest.

Nevertheless, Green Bay will give it a go again in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys on the road, while the Browns will look to go .500 when they pay the Lions a visit this coming Sunday.
