As the Green Bay Packers wide receiving corps continues to struggle mightily overcoming dropped passes, at least one weapon in the passing game could be primed for a breakout.
Quarterback Jordan Love’s confidence in ascending tight end Tucker Kraft has been evident the past two seasons, and in 2025, that connection could build to a crescendo, especially with rookie receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams finding their footing at the NFL level.
Kraft became a focal point of the Packers’ vertical passing game last season, catching 50 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns last season, while averaging 14.1 yards per reception.
ESPN NFL analyst Seth Walder believes Kraft’s ceiling might be even higher for the Packers in 2025 and beyond.
“Tucker Kraft will finish the season as a top-four tight end in fantasy,” Walder writes of Kraft’s outlook over the next three seasons. “Kraft’s 2024 breakout included 50 receptions for 707 receiving yards and the highest YAC score among tight ends. The ascension will continue into 2027.”
Kraft’s prowess after the catch won’t just make him a darling of the fantasy community, but will continue to make him one of Love’s most reliable and favorite targets as the offense continues to funnel through the tight end and exploit the middle of the field.
Having Golden’s game-altering speed take the top off of defenses, allowing Kraft more space to operate underneath, may just hold the key to both the veteran tight end and the Packers’ offense taking flight.
