The Green Bay Packers has announced on Thursday a finalized version of their 2025 coaching staff. Beyond what had already been reported, the team also hired Cory Harkey as special teams quality control coach, Jeremiah Kolone as offensive assistant (minority fellowship), Jeff Koonz as defensive assistant, and Jamael Lett as a defensive quality control coach. Connor Lewis has been promoted from assistant quarterbacks coach to pass game specialist/game management.
Harkey was the Buffalo Bills’ assistant special teams coach for the past three years, while Kolone will have his first coaching opportunity in the NFL. Koonz is an experienced college coach, and spent his last five seasons as a special teams coordinator and inside linebackers coach at West Virginia. Jamael Lett worked under DeMarcus Covington as a defensive assistant, primarily focused on defensive backs.
As expected, the Packers confirmed the hiring of DeMarcus Covington to replace Jason Rebrovich as the new defensive line coach, and he will also be the run game coordinator. Sean Mannion was promoted from offensive assistant to quarterbacks coach, and Sean Duggan was elevated from defensive assistant to linebackers coach.
From last year's coaching staff, the Packers lost or parted ways with quarterbacks coach Tom Clements (retired), offensive coaching assistant Myles White (hired by Syracuse), defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich (fired), linebackers coach/run game coordinator Anthony Campanile (hired to be the Jacksonville Jaguars DC), defensive quality control coach Anthony Perkins (followed Campanile to the Jaguars as DBs coach), and special teams quality control coach Kyle Wilber (hired by the New Orleans Saints).
