"This landmark first international game in South America demonstrates the ongoing expansion of our global footprint," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell during Super Bowl Week. "Playing on Friday night of Week 1 is a unique way to highlight our international growth and ambitions."

DraftKings has already released odds for the game. The Eagles opened as a 1.5-point favorite and are -118 on the moneyline. The total is set at 51.5.

It will be the first regular season game in an Eagles uniform for running back Saquon Barkley, Phialdelphia's most notable offseason addition.

Both teams are projected to make the playoffs based on DraftKings odds. The Packers are -190 to get back to the postseason, while the Eagles are -200.

"The Eagles organization is honored to have been selected to play in the first-ever National Football League game in South America," said Jeffrey Lurie, Philadelphia Eagles Chairman and CEO, in February when the game was announced. "With the global growth of our sport being a top priority to our league, we embrace the opportunity to grow our fanbase around the world and bring Eagles football to the 38 million sports fans in Brazil.
