Packers' young playmaker seen in a sling during latest OTA practice
USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin-USA TODAY NETWORK

The Green Bay Packers had perfect attendance on the first day of offseason organized team activities open to the media. However, there are some considerations.

Tight end Tucker Kraft didn't practice. Initially, he hadn't shown up, but then he appeared with his left arm in a sling. After practice, head coach Matt LaFleur gave an enigmatic answer about what the injury might be.

"He’s on the Matt LaFleur plan," the coach said. Since LaFleur recently tore his pec, that's probably Kraft's injury as well.

Cornerback Robert Rochell didn't practice either, and right tackle Zach Tom didn't participate in team drills — which led to veteran Andre Dillard getting first-team reps at tackle.

Kraft's injury

At this point, it's unclear what type of injury Tucker Kraft had, but it looks like it's a torn pec. He isn't expected to be back until training camp — but he might be available when the camp starts or shortly thereafter.

Contrary to what happens during the regular seasons, teams don't need to release injury reports during OTAs or even training camp.

Kraft shared snaps with fellow rookie tight end Luke Musgrave last year. Musgrave started last season as a starter, but after he got injured, Kraft became the starter — keeping the higher number of snaps even after Musgrave was back.

The third-round pick finished up the regular season with 31 receptions for 355 yards and two touchdowns. In the playoffs, he had five receptions for 24 yards, plus a touchdown in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers.

Tom has a similar issue

Right tackle Zach Tom is also handling a torn pec, according to Matt LaFleur. He is expected to be back in time for training camp.

"It's an unfortunate coincidence," LaFleur added.

Even though Tom didn't participate in team activities, first-round rookie Jordan Morgan didn't get first-team reps — they all went to veteran Andre Dillard.

Better piece of injury news

Edge defender Kingsley Enagbare should be ready to go in week 1. After an ACL tear had been reported earlier this year, the Packers clarified that it wasn't a full tear. Therefore, Enagbare's recovery didn't require surgery and has a smaller time frame.

On Tuesday, Enagbare participated in team drills. Head coach Matt LaFleur said he was a full go, which means he’s ready to compete. He is expected to be the fourth piece in the edge rotation, behind Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, and Lukas Van Ness.
