Panthers, Bucs Listed as Potential Landing Spots for Jonah Jackson

The Detroit Lions have some challenging decisions to make this offseason, especially along the offensive line.

Jonah Jackson and Graham Glasgow are impending free agents. 

The price tag for both could prevent the team from re-signing them. 

Glasgow is expecting a raise, while Jackson could command north of $10 million annually on the free agent market. 

Pro Football Focus recently compiled a list of the potential landing spots for the top free agent offensive linemen set to hit the market. 

For the 27-year-old, there is a potential to remain in the NFC, as the Panthers and Buccaneers were listed as potential suitors for the veteran lineman. 

"Injuries have ravaged Carolina's guards over the past few years — particularly at left guard this past season — but they nonetheless earned the worst grade at the position in the NFL in 2023 (37.6)," writes Brad Spielberger. "New general manager Dan Morgan said at his introductory press conference that he wanted “dogs” on this reshaped roster, and Jonah Jackson could be the tone-setting mauler at left guard who fits the bill."

Detroit was able to defeat the Buccaneers at Ford Filed in the Divisional Round of the postseason.

With quarterback Baker Mayfield potentially set to return, adding offensive line help could maximize his potential, especially since their former offensive coordinator departed to become the head coach of the Panthers.

"The Buccaneers could add a nasty second-level run blocker alongside maybe the best pass protector in the NFL in Tristan Wirfs, who has already adjusted nicely to the blindside after moving across the line ahead of the 2023 season."
