Panthers expecting more from Jaycee Horn in Week 14

Jaycee Horn's return went as well as anyone could expect.

He played around 30 snaps when the Carolina Panthers took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Sunday afternoon 21-18 loss. It was as mundane of a return as many expected. Horn injured his hamstring in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. The good news is on Monday, interim head coach Chris Tabor indicated Horn will have a larger role next Sunday.

“100 percent. That’ll naturally happen,” Tabor said of if Horn will play more next Sunday. “That was his first game back. You wanna work him right back in there and get him up to speed. I think that he’s recovered nicely. So, I do see that happening.”

Horn, in his 30-odd snaps, had five total tackles. That is not too shabby for a player who hadn't played all season.

But against the Saints, Tabor is expecting more from Horn, who has been defined by injuries limiting his ability to show his talent.

“I anticipate him playing quite a bit," Tabor said.

In a season that is now all about having fun, the return of Horn and his increased role is sure to make some players and coaches on the Panthers smile.
