Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold suffered a concussion and was ruled out late in the team's 19-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Darnold, 24, suffered the injury on a designed quarterback run in the red zone. After breaking free for a solid 8-yard gain, Darnold was hit hard by Falcons linebacker Foyesade Oluokun and struggled to get back to his feet.

Darnold was replaced in the game by P.J. Walker and the Panthers scored a few plays later on a 6-yard touchdown run by Chuba Hubbard.
Walker also replaced Darnold in Week 7 when the latter was benched late in a 25-3 loss to the New York Giants. Walker completed just three of his 14 pass attempts in that game and threw an incomplete pass on his only attempt against the Falcons.
Prior to his injury, Darnold had 13 of 24 attempts for 129 yards. He also added 66 rushing yards on eight attempts.
