Patience Is The Game For The Falcons
Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

The Falcons are turning over a new leaf with a new quarterback and a renovated defense. The defense is looking to be a juggernaut as they added some college stars and brought back some key pieces from last season.

Michael Penix Jr. is fully ready to take over, but he has yet to complete a full season as a starter and there could be some bumps and bruises in his first year as a full-time starter. He has shown that he can be a good starter who leads his team to victory and can utilize weapons very well.

Penix will have two very important weapons in Bijan Robinson and Drake London who both were 1,000-yard rushers and receivers respectively and are both only 23 years old. Players like Darnell Mooney and KhaDarel Hodge are looking to complement London and be productive receivers this season for the young quarterback.

The youth of this team is primarily the main concern for the upcoming season, but they are all talented players who can play well together. While it potentially may not be this season that they make a big super bowl run, there is a lot of potential and hope for the future with the big decisions made this offseason.

If something can be figured out about Kirk Cousins and his contract, then the Falcons would have more to work with in the future too. There will also be questions about Kyle Pitts and if he will finally have a breakout season this year for Atlanta.

The Falcons have some work to do this year to give their fans something to celebrate.
