Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs Suffer Quadruple Loss on Tuesday

‎The Kansas City Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9 ended their three-game winning streak. The Bills exposed several cracks in the Chiefs’ offense, raising questions about Kansas City’s ability to compete against AFC elites.

Patrick Mahomes completed 15 of 34 passes for 250 yards and one interception. It was the lowest completion rate of his NFL career and a performance he’ll hope to quickly move on from.

‎The defeat left Kansas City at 5-4 heading into its bye week and provided Buffalo a measure of revenge after last season’s AFC Championship loss. The Bills controlled possession for much of the game and held Mahomes without a touchdown pass.

‎On Tuesday, ESPN released its Week 10 NFL Power Rankings , dropping the Chiefs four spots from No. 6 to No. 10 following the loss. They now sit behind the Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Seattle Seahawks.

Kansas City will face the AFC West–leading Denver Broncos (7-2) after the bye, marking their first meeting of the season. A win would help restore some parity to the team and could have major playoff implications down the stretch, with the two teams set to meet again on Christmas Day.

‎Aside from the Broncos, the Chiefs’ remaining schedule includes games against the Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and Las Vegas Raiders.

‎Kansas City will return in Week 11 at Denver, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+.
