Patrick Mahomes' foundation donated more than $400,000 in grants to over 25 Kansas City charities

Patrick Mahomes is one heck of a football player for the Chiefs, but he may be an even better person for Kansas City — the city — and its surrounding areas.

Anyone needing proof of the latter statement need look no further than Mahomes' third annual charity night in Kansas City.

The 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, which was established by the star quarterback the same year he won the NFL MVP award, 2019, gave away more than $400,000 in grants that went to over 25 charities in the Kansas City area.

Per the foundation's website, 15 and the Mahomies aims to improve the lives of children with a specific focus on supporting charities that concentrate on health, wellness and communities that need resources, among other things.

Not only is Mahomes a perennial MVP candidate, but with all this in mind, it should be no surprise that the quarterback is also in the running for another prestigious NFL award: Walter Peyton Man of the Year.

What can't this guy do?

Mahomes has the Chiefs at 9-3 and on the doorstep of clinching the AFC West for the seventh straight season.

He's thrown for 3,808 yards and 30 touchdowns with eight interceptions on the season, while also rushing for 283 yards and two scores on the ground.
