Patrick Mahomes has been asked a lot of questions as of late.

The questions that the media are asking the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback deal with Tyreek Hill.

Hill is a former teammate, and top receiver, of Mahomes when he was in Kansas City.

However, the team sent him to Miami, which has seen him come out hard on his former team and Mahomes.

But even with the things said about him that seemed like a dig, Mahomes has remained calm through it all.

Some young quarterbacks would attack back or degrade the person who had comments about them that weren’t flattering.

Not Mahomes, he shows that he’s the leader in Kansas City, and that nothing will break his drive to win with his team.

However, there’s more than just ignoring negative comments that’s making him into a leader in 2022.

Mahomes Organized Throwing Sessions Ahead Of Training Camp With Teammates

The best way to build chemistry with new players is to get to know them.

That’s what the Super Bowl champion quarterback did down in Texas earlier in June.

Doing this is a great way to help him build team chemistry with newcomers like JuJu Smith-Schuster.

It also allows him to work on any issues that he might have with passing the ball, as Hill had mentioned on his podcast.

However, some might say this camp he’s putting on is because of the Hill comments.

But they would be wrong, as this is something he wants to do to show he’s a leader and to build a bond with his team.

It’s his way of showing that he’s a star player who isn’t afraid to put work in with teammates before camp begins.

It also shows his drive to be ready when the regular season starts.

Focus Is On The 2022 Season

While people want to put the spotlight on the Hill drama, Mahomes’ focus is only on the 2022 season and reaching the Super Bowl again.

His response to reporters on the comments his former receiver made was perfect.

He recognizes how the team is not just one person, including himself.

That’s what makes him an outstanding leader, as he knows it’s not just all about him.

However, other star quarterbacks make it about themselves.

But that’s not Mahomes’ style during his NFL career.

He knows it’s a team effort, and his focus is bringing the team together to win games in 2022.

His early workouts with teammates and leadership skills as a player show what matters to him most.

While critics can point out things that might be bad with Mahomes, he doesn’t let that affect him.

He instead steps up into that leadership role that he has in Kansas City.

However, getting back to the Super Bowl will show all his critics that he’s not just a one-and-done player.

It would prove to those that doubt him that he’s the real deal.

With the 2022 regular season quickly approaching, and a tough AFC West, Mahomes seems to be ready for the challenge ahead of him.
