Patrick Mahomes Makes Personal Decision Amid NFL Absence

The Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready to face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in Week 16.

Week 15 was the Chiefs' worst nightmare, as they were eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.

They suffered a 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers to fall to 6-8 on the year.

Mahomes also tore his ACL and LCL in the fourth quarter of that game, and his season is now over.

While backup quarterback Gardner Minshew is prepping to make his first start this season, Mahomes has still been in and around the Chiefs' facility.

He underwent surgery the day after to repair his knee but nothing was going to stop him from getting his teammates a Christmas gift.

On Friday, Mahomes gifted wide receiver Xavier Worthy a PlayStation 5 and a Poga travel case for it.

"@patrickmahomes appreciate it," Worthy posted to his story with Mahomes reposting it after.

Worthy is in his second season in the NFL and as a teammate of Mahomes.

In 12 games so far this season, the former Texas Longhorn has totaled 40 receptions for 491 yards and one touchdown.

Kick off on Sunday between the Chiefs and the Titans is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
