Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs couldn’t have asked for a better start to the 2026 NFL season. The team remains unbeaten so far, boasting a 4-0 record after having a bye in Week 5.

Patrick Mahomes has been sensational for the Chiefs, throwing for 1,037 yards and nine passing touchdowns. He has also tallied 41 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground.

As the Chiefs quarterback continues to thrive on the field, though, his mother, Randi Mahomes, has also been building a career related to sports.

The Mahomes matriarch founded the Sports Parent Academy in 2025. The venture provides an online platform and courses designed to guide parents of young athletes. Now, over a year later, the Sports Parent Academy just keeps flourishing.

Recently, Randi Mahomes even announced a new event called the “Ultimate Sports Parent Experience,” which will feature athletes and sports parents.

“I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be hosting The Ultimate Sports Parent Experience alongside @sportsparentacademy and @katalystfit in Miami on October 24th!” Randi Mahomes wrote in a social media post.

She added, “We’re bringing together athletes, sports parents, and families for an afternoon of meaningful conversations, inspiring stories, and interactive experiences. Whether you’re raising a young athlete or navigating the journey yourself, there’s something here for the whole family.”

The event is scheduled for Oct. 24 in Miami. It’s unknown if Patrick Mahomes himself will be able to attend, as the Chiefs will be playing the Seattle Seahawks on the road on Oct. 25.

Whatever the case may be, Randi Mahomes will certainly have plenty to share about raising an elite athlete. While many are only seeing the success of Patrick Mahomes now, his mother has made significant sacrifices to help him reach this point.

In an interview in August, Randi Mahomes said that “people don’t see the constant balancing act.” She also highlighted the pressure that both athletes and their parents face.
