Andy Reid has been able to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to incredible success during his time with the AFC team, especially with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes has been with the Chiefs for the past nine years and has already led his team to three Super Bowl titles and five AFC titles.

Kansas City began the 2025 season on a rough patch, but have recently won three straight games. The Chiefs recently defeated the Detroit Lions, Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders.

All eyes in the NFL landscape are on the Chiefs' resurrection.

On Wednesday, the Chiefs' hope to continue its win streak received a great boost. Kansas City announced the return of offensive lineman Trey Smith.

Trey Smith has been dealing with a back injury. He missed the Kansas City Chiefs' most recent game, having been sidelined for their matchup against the Washington Commanders.

Smith serves as a vital piece to the Chiefs, serving as a protective offensive lineman for Patrick Mahomes and one of the NFL's most explosive offenses.

The former Tennessee Volunteers star was drafted by the Chiefs in 2021 and has since helped them thrive in the regular season and postseason.

Ahead of the 2025 season, Trey Smith signed a four-year, $94 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Andy Reid and his staff have invested into the star offensive lineman, looking to give Patrick Mahomes the best possible chance to succeed in the offense.
