Patrick Mahomes can't wait for Taylor Swift's new album.

He, just like everybody else, is ready to hear the singer's 12th studio album, which is coming out right at midnight on Oct. 3. And he spoke about it during an appeared on 610 Sports Radio on Thursday.

"I'm super excited. I haven't been able to hear the album yet, but I'm super excited to be able to do that," Mahomes said on The Drive. It'll be blairing all the way through the Chiefs facility tomorrow and we'll be supporting Taylor. She put in so much hard work to this and I'm excited to hear the album just like everybody else."

Mahomes has become close with the singer, considering he's best friends with her fiancé, Travis Kelce. Plus, his wife was often seen sitting next to Swift during Chiefs games last season.

So, it makes sense that he is cheering her on and ready to hear all the "bangers," as the new songs were described by Kelce.

Did Taylor Swift Include a Sweet Tribute To Travis Kelce in her New York City Pop-Up?

The way Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story began has been told over and over again, but it never gets old.

It all began when the singer was performing at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023 on her Eras Tour, with Travis Kelce in the audience. Specifically, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it, but it didn’t work out.

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast right after her concert. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.”

But the singer saw and heard about Kelce reaching out, and that’s why, when she finally appeared on the New Heights podcast two years later, she detailed why she credits the podcast with getting her a boyfriend.

“This podcast has done a lot for me. I owe a lot to this podcast,” Swift said on the episode that aired on Aug. 13. “This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago.”

So when fans attended her New York City pop-up ahead of the release of Life of a Showgirl, they noticed a Christmas ornament. But it was the shape that caught everyone’s attention.

It was a megaphone with the words, “I heard you calling,” written on it. And fans immediately connected that to Travis Kelce calling out Swift on the podcast, which sparked everything.
