Patrick Mahomes' trainer, teammate respond to Raiders' Kermit the Frog dig

Both Patrick Mahomes' trainer and one of his teammates responded to the Las Vegas Raiders' recent dig at the star quarterback's voice, which has often been compared to Kermit the Frog.

A Raiders fan named Josh Jacopetti (according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez ) dressed up a Kermit doll to look like the two-time MVP, fit with Mahomes' brown curly hair and his No. 15 Kansas City Chiefs jersey. Jacopetti brought the doll to Raiders' training camp on Thursday and, while safety Trey Taylor was going through and signing autographs, the rookie had some fun with the puppet.

Mahomes' trainer (Bobby Stroupe) wrote on X in response to the mocking: "We will remember."

Chiefs safety Justin Reid, who has been known to ruffle some opponents' feathers in the past, took a more threatening approach, posting a picture of himself lighting up a Raiders player with the caption: "This game is got more interesting on the calendar."

Kansas City travels to face Las Vegas in Week 8 on Oct. 27 and the teams play at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 13 on Nov. 29.

Per Gutierrez's report, the fan who recorded the video on Thursday wanted to be known as Andrew Q. and apologized to Taylor and for posting the moment.

"I msg's a few creators and asked if it was bad taste," the fan wrote, according to Gutierrez. "Asked a few within the organization to apologize to Trey and if he wanted any charity donations. I'm young to this and I learned everything viral isn't a good viral."
