Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce break record for most playoff touchdowns between QB-receiver duo
Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce etched their name into NFL record books during Sunday night’s divisional round game against the Bills. With a touchdown connection early in the third quarter, the Chiefs quarterback and tight end became the league’s career leader in playoff touchdowns (16) between a quarterback and receiver.

Facing first-and-goal from the 3-yard-line, Mahomes quickly got the ball out to his favorite target on a screen. Kelce made his way around the left side and battled his way across the end zone to put Kansas City up 20-17 with 11:48 in the third quarter. You can view the historic moment below.

With their 16th postseason touchdown, Mahomes and Kelce surpassed Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, who scored 15 touchdowns in their playoff appearances together. Former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and receiver Jerry Rice rank third on the list with 12.
