Patriots announce 2010s All-Decade Team

The New England Patriots announced their 2010s All-Decade Team on Wednesday, and there weren't really any surprises.

While some of the players have come and gone, it's still important to reflect on the time each has spent with the organization and how the players' contributions have contributed to success in New England.

Without further ado, here are the Patriots All-Decade team members:

Offense:

  • OT: Nate Solder
  • OT: Sebastian Vollmer
  • G: Logan Mankins
  • G: Joe Thuney
  • C: David Andrews
  • TE: Rob Gronkowski
  • WR: Julian Edelman
  • WR: Wes Welker
  • QB: Tom Brady
  • RB: James White
  • FB: James Develin
  • FLEX: Danny Amendola

Defense:

  • DE: Chandler Jones
  • DE: Trey Flowers
  • DT: Vince Wilfork
  • DT: Lawrence Guy
  • OLB: Rob Ninkovich
  • OLD: Kyle Van Noy
  • ILB: Dont'a Hightower
  • ILB: Jerod Mayo
  • CB: Stephon Gilmore
  • CB: Malcolm Butler
  • S: Devin McCourty
  • S: Patrick Chung

Special teams:

  • K: Stephen Gostkowski
  • P: Ryan Allen
  • RET: Julian Edelman
  • SPT: Matthew Slater

All of these players have contributed to Super Bowl titles in one way or another, and it's a pretty impressive list nonetheless.

If New England could put this exact team on the field today, maybe Tom Brady wouldn't have bolted for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but that's a story for a different day.
