Patriots are latest to benefit from Kadarius Toney's mistakes
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Kadarius Toney has certainly made headlines this season, but not always for the right reasons.

And the New England Patriots are the latest team to benefit from his mistakes.

Down by 17 points heading into the fourth quarter, the Patriots needed something to go right to get them back on track.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes tried to located Toney, who couldn't haul in what should have been an easy catch. And Jahlani Tavai was right behind him, ready to grab it out of the air

Tavai recorded the interception, adding to his impressive season and giving the Patriots the ball back with perfect field position.

New England capitalized moments later after Kevin Harris ran it in for an 18-yard touchdown.

This mistake came just a week after the receiver's offsides penalty erased what could have been a game-winning touchdown. And the Chiefs went on to lose to the Bills.

Mahomes was clearly upset after the play.

This was Mahomes' second interception of the game, but this time it wasn't his fault.

Toney has been a controversial figure during the 2023 season and this will not help his case.
