Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez Likely to Miss Rest of 2023 Season with Shoulder Injury

The New England Patriots might have to finish the 2023 season without their top pick from the 2023 NFL Draft.

Rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez is likely to miss the rest of the year due to a shoulder injury, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Gonzalez suffered a torn labrum as a result of a dislocated shoulder, according to Rapoport.

The No. 17 overall pick in this year's draft out of Oregon, Gonzalez had already flashed the impressive playmaking skills that made him a dominant cover man for the Ducks.

It's a disappointing end to a promising rookie campaign for Gonzalez, but here's hoping he's able to get back to full strength as soon as possible, even if that means he doesn't return to the field until 2024.
