As Christian Barmore has developed into the biggest star on the New England Patriots' defense, he's had a special form of motivation guiding him the entire way.

Heri Barmore, Christian's mother, has always been his biggest fan, but it hasn't always been easy. When Christian was a kid, Heri was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disease that severely damages the protective covering of nerve cells. As such, Christian has watched his mother fight through constant pain just to make ends meet.

Recently, though, Barmore was able to give his mother the gift of a lifetime. The star defensive tackle uploaded a heartwarming Instagram video on Sunday evening, showing him welcoming his mother to her brand-new, scenic home that he bought for her. The final shot of the video shows mother and son together at the house's front door.

"I love it," Heri said in the video. "I love it. It's huge."

Since his rookie season in 2021, Barmore has been extremely open about supporting his mother. He has traditionally worn cleats supporting MS causes during the NFL's annual My Cause My Cleats initiative, with all proceeds going towards non-profit charities.

"I've seen the pain they go through," Barmore told Patriots.com in 2021. "Taking needles every day to keep them healthy, can't be in the heat for a long time because it might trigger them," Barmore said. "I'm doing this because of my mom. When I was young, I didn't even [understand] what happened ... every day I just fight for my mom."
