New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is making headlines this week for the wrong reasons.
Back in late March, the Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $69 million deal. He's expected to lead a wide receiver room in New England that doesn't really have any proven playmakers.
While it's certainly possible the Patriots receive superstar production from Diggs, his tenure is off to a rough start.
A video of Diggs partying on a yacht with multiple women surfaced on social media. Although it's unclear what was going on, it appears a woman grabs a clear bag with a pink substance inside of it.
As if that wasn't bad enough, Diggs didn't show up for Wednesday’s voluntary OTA session.
Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was asked about Diggs' viral video during Wednesday's press conference. His response was exactly what you'd expect from him.
"It's something that we're aware of," Vrabel told reporters. "Obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field. Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club."
Vrabel might not be happy with Diggs' antics, but he's not going to let the public know how he's truly feeling. If there's an issue, he'll take care of it behind closed doors.
The Patriots made a run at Diggs this offseason because they know what he's capable of when health. He's a three-time Pro Bowler with over 10,000 receiving yards.
We'll see if Diggs and the Patriots can move past this incident and have a successful 2025 season.
