The New England Patriots won't have Mike Vrabel by their side for Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Vrabel spoke to the media Tuesday for the first time since Page Six posted photos of him holding hands with Dianna Russini at a hotel in Arizona. He didn't say much about this "personal and private matter," but he did address the team prior to his press conference.

Interestingly enough, Vrabel revealed that he'll undergo counseling later this week. That'll force him to miss the final day of the draft. It's unclear if it'll be a one-day session or if it'll linger throughout offseason.

"As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend. This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them," Vrabel said, via ESPN.

"I have always wanted to lead by example, and I believe this is what I have to do to be the best husband, father and coach that I possibly can be. This is not an easy thing for me to admit, but it is one that I know will make me a better person. I appreciate the support that everyone has given me and promise a stronger resolve as a result."

Will the NFL discipline Mike Vrabel?

The NFL's personal conduct policy states that coaches, executives and players must avoid "conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the National Football League."

Despite all the controversy surrounding this situation, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told ESPN’s Ben Strauss that Vrabel’s behavior will not be reviewed under the personal conduct policy.

Suffice to say, Vrabel will be on the sideline coaching the Patriots this fall.
