If you've watched any New England Patriots game this season, you know there are some holes on the roster.
However, in recent weeks, a very big weakness has truly showed. And that's at the tackle position.
So in Dane Brugler's first 2025 NFL mock draft, he addresses this for the Patriots.
With the fourth overall pick, Brugler has New England selecting tackle Will Campbell out of LSU.
"Drake Maye has the quarterback position locked up, so the Patriots need to surround him with more help. And if the organization invests in a wide receiver via free agency (Tee Higgins?), its draft focus would shift to the offensive line.
Despite having average arm length, Campbell moves with fluidity and strength throughout his frame and projects as an immediate NFL starter at tackle, guard or even center," Brugler wrote.
Extra protection is always a good thing for a quarterback, and especially for one such as Drake Maye. The rookie has proven he can make plays happen despite having little time in the pocket, but imagine what he could do if he had the right protection.

Campbell officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Tuesday. 6-foot-6, 326 lbs. Arm length will likely come into question. https://t.co/IHDTRx0Yf4 pic.twitter.com/CCRH7Tv03E
While this season isn't going the way anyone would have hoped, one good thing will come out of it: a high draft pick.
So let's see if this is how they use it.
