The New England Patriots made the most noise of all 32 teams on day one of the legal tampering process on Monday, March 10. The Patriots spent over $260 million on Monday to fill up their roster and agreed to deals with some of the best free agents this offseason.
New England made some moves at the offensive line, with their biggest being Morgan Moses from the New York Jets at the right tackle position. The Patriots have open spots available at the offensive line, including at left tackle.

MassLive’s Mark Daniels believes the Patriots aren’t going for veterans like Cam Robinson or Tyron Smith because they are older and past their prime. Sources told Daniels that the team could aim for an elite prospect at left tackle.
There are a few draft prospects that could be a day one at left tackle as a rookie this upcoming season, but the most likely is LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell.
This isn’t the first time Campbell has been linked to the Patriots, and it will likely not be the last. Campbell is one of the most well-balanced offensive linemen in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Patriots have the No. 4 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft following the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants. Only the Browns have a realistic scenario of picking Campbell or an offensive lineman, but they need help at the quarterback position and on defense.
As it stands right now, the Patriots are likely the top landing spot for Campbell. The Patriots would make Campbell their franchise left tackle for years to come by protecting the blindside of second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
