Having spent so many years together, it's no secret that Robert Kraft and Jerod Mayo have a close relationship.
But on Wednesday, people got to see that first-hand. And the laughs the two shared said it all about this next chapter for the organization.
Specifically, Mayo shared his nickname for Kraft, while also poking fun at the Patriots owner. It was a moment that everyone in the room couldn't help but smile at.
"I appreciate you, Thunder -- I call him Young Thunder Cat," Mayo said at the start of his opening statement. "He has a young heart."
And then he proceeded to joke with Kraft.
"One thing I did learn from you today -- I also have a prepared statement," the new head coach added. "Yours is in like 30 font Times New Roman, and I'm in 10, so I'll take that note."
There was also another moment in Kraft's opening statement that can't be forgotten.
#Patriots owner Robert Kraft struggled to pronounce one of Jerod Mayo's brother's names:

Bill Belichick was known for his unique mannerisms during press conferences, often not answering questions that were asked by reporters.
So when Mayo sat down and spoke, it was a completely different environment. And both he and Kraft were more then willing to talk with reporters and open up about what's next for the team.
Based on the way this press conference went, it's got to make everyone excited for this season.
"I first met Jerod in 2008 after we drafted him 10th overall out of the University of Tennessee. On that day, we introduced him to the media, and I remember him immediately coming up to me and saying, Kraft and Mayo, they go together pretty well," Kraft said. "16 years later, here we are."
