New England Patriots' safety Jabrill Peppers will be entering his ninth year in the NFL in 2025, and possibly coming off his most difficult season in 2024.
Peppers was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and spent two years there, three years with the New York Giants, and will be entering his fourth year with New England.
When healthy, Peppers has been very productive and a leader on his defensive unit. When he's played at least 11 games in the season, the Patriots' safety has averaged over 73 tackles and an interception.
Peppers is one of just six captains from the Patriots' 2024 roster that is left from the 2025 season. The former first-round pick earned the captain role for the first time last year, but had it removed later in the season due to disciplinary actions.
Peppers dealt with legal trouble in 2024 following an arrest in October that left him on the commissioner's exempt list for eight weeks. After Peppers was acquitted on all charges, he returned to action but suffered a hamstring injury shortly after, which ended his season.
With 2024 in the rearview, Peppers has come into the offseason ready to prove himself once again in the new year.

The energy and passion Peppers has brought into the offseason haven't been missed by his new head coach either.
"I love Jabrill's energy. I love his passion for the game," Mike Vrabel said. "I like his energy when he comes in the building. Those things are all very positive."
Although 2024 wasn't the season Peppers wanted, in 2023, the safety was lights out and showed a glimpse of what offenses have to deal with when he's healthy and focused.
Peppers played and started in 15 games in 2023, collecting 78 tackles, five TFLs, eight passes defended, and two interceptions.
The Patriots are in a rebuild, and a motivated Peppers could be just what New England needs to anchor its secondary in 2025.
