The New England Patriots announced they have waived RB Myles Montgomery with an injury designation.

He’ll revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers and then likely be released with a settlement later on.

To take his spot, the team signed RB Hassan Haskins.

Montgomery, 23, started his career at Cincinnati before transferring to UCF for his final two seasons. He signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft.

During his five-year college career, Montgomery rushed 274 times for 1,546 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 26 catches for 257 yards and another touchdown in 41 career games.
