As the football season winds down and all that remains is the Super Bowl, fans and analysts everywhere are weighing in on the big game.

The matchup will see Drake Maye and the New England Patriots face Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks, a rematch of Super Bowl 49. Both teams battled through challenging playoff fields to reach this point: Seattle earning its spot by defeating the Los Angeles Rams and New England punching its ticket with a gritty win over the Denver Broncos. Now, all eyes are on who will claim the coveted Lombardi Trophy.

Amid the barrage of predictions, one has gained traction online from sports influencer Jack Cote, who has become known for remarkable forecasting. Cote drew attention earlier in the season for correctly predicting the College Football Playoff bracket on Dec. 9 and seeing that bracket play out without misses. He then followed it up with another NFL playoff prediction that has since gone viral.

Jack Cote Had a Perfect College Football Playoff Bracket

While perfect brackets are rare in any sport, Cote’s projection turned out to be the exact College Football Playoff results. The No. 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers dominated their quarterfinals and semifinal matchups, beating No. 9 seed Alabama Crimson Tide 38-3 in the Rose Bowl quarterfinal and the No. 5 Oregon Ducks 56-22 in the Peach Bowl semifinal.

The Hoosiers went on to win the National Championship 27-21 over the No. 10 seed Miami Hurricanes, securing their first title in program history and completing an undefeated season. Cote not only correctly predicted Indiana’s win but he also called the result of every CFP game correctly.

“I am From the Future” Guy Predicts Every Champion in 2026

Cote’s football foresight didn’t stop there. He also released a set of NFL playoff predictions for the 2025 postseason under his “I am from the future” tag, a playful label he uses on social platforms. Several of those picks hit the mark:

  • Divisional round: 49ers over Seahawks, Rams over Bears, Bills over Broncos, Patriots over Texans
  • AFC Championship: Patriots over Bills
  • NFC Championship: Rams over
  • Super Bowl: Patriots over Rams

While Cote was off in predicting the Rams to reach the Super Bowl, he did correctly forecast the Patriots’ appearance and currently has New England winning the Super Bowl in his projection.

It remains to be seen if Cote’s Super Bowl prediction will hold when the Patriots take on the Seahawks on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 pm ET on NBC (with Peacock streaming).
