Carroll went 6-10 as head coach of the New York Jets in 1994 and racked up a 27-21 record in three seasons with the New England Patriots before taking over as head coach of the USC Trojans. He was successful in college football and was rewarded with another stint in the NFL in 2010.
The 69-year-old went 7-9 in each of his first two seasons with the Seahawks, but since then has led the team to eight straight winning seasons. Carroll's overall record with the Seahawks is 106-60-1. He has gone 10-7 in the playoffs and led the team to a Super Bowl XLVIII win. Seattle also was crowned the NFC Champion in 2014 after going 12-4 during the regular season, but lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
