New Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll was officially announced as the team's new leader on Monday after taking the 2024 season off following 14 seasons as the Seahawks' coach.
Carroll led Seattle to 10 playoff appearances including back-to-back Super Bowls and a championship in 2014.
Monday's event featured a surprise visitor as Carroll's former star running back Marshawn 'Beast Mode' Lynch crashed the press conference with a loud and boisterous endorsement of Carroll's new team, provoking a hilarious and unexpected response.
"RAIDERS!" Lynch could be heard exclaiming in the background as Carroll was talking on Monday, which caused Carroll to pause before smiling and responding to his former player.
"There you go, there you go. That's what I'm talking about," Carroll said.
"Settle down a little bit," Carroll added as he attempted to shift back to the serious tone of the press conference.
"RAAIIIDERS!"

The Raiders last made the playoffs in 2021 and 2016, with first game losses both times. Their last playoff win came during their Super Bowl season in 2002 with former NFL MVP Rich Gannon under center.
Carroll emphasized the importance of the quarterback spot on Monday amid speculation about who the Raiders might acquire this offseason in hopes of improving the position.
