Pete Carroll is living up to Ashton Jeanty's expectations during Raiders 2025 rookie minicamp

The Las Vegas Raiders made the right choice in hiring former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. He's a player's coach, but not just any player's coach, a guy who will really go to bat for his players. And, Carroll has energy, energy like you've never seen from a coach.

No, literally, the guy is in his 70s, and he's doing some of the drills with the players. I think by now we have all seen the iconic video from a Seahawks practice where he scrambles and through a touchdown during a scrimmage. He's already eased his way into doing that with the Raiders by showing rookie cornerback Darien Porter his backpedal during the first day of rookie minicamp.

That type of energy is contagious. His teams feed off of it. He gets the most out of his players, and that's a huge reason why you have seen him only have three losing seasons since becoming the Seahawks head coach. And two of those were his first two years there, where he was tasked with turning the franchise around.

Carroll has won a Super Bowl, in which he beat down the AFC West rival Denver Broncos, and went to another, but unfortunately lost to the New England Patriots dynasty.

So, yes, he's the real deal, and the rookies are already seeing that.
