The Indianapolis Colts lead the NFL in points scored with 270 and sit alone at the top of the league standings at 7-1. Despite these facts, many in the national media remain skeptical about how real this team is. A reason many give is QB Daniel Jones, who has had quite the career resurgence in Indianapolis after a failed end to his tenure with the New York Giants. You'd think the recent cases of similar "failed" QBs turning it around in a new environment, such as Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, would make it easy for people. That has not been the case, though.
Former New England Patriots star Tedy Bruschi shared his disbelief in Jones and the Colts' offense ahead of Week 8. And none other than Peyton Manning came to the defense of the Colts' quarterback and their league-best offense. This is a great sight for fans who have had doubts about Manning's allegiance to the Colts in recent years.
"It's hard to get these Patriots to like the Colts, I get it Tedy, but jump on board there's room."

“Something is just holding me back from going all the way in with Daniel Jones and the Colts,” said Bruschi. Manning answered the bell to defend his former team. “Teddy, listen,” said Manning. Shane Steichen is a fantastic play-caller, always has been.” Manning went on to say, “Daniel Jones is executing his offense, and Jonthan Taylor or Baker Mayfield is the MVP right now.”
Manning shared many of the same sentiments that Colts fans have been saying to doubters all year. I'll say that teams don't often luck into the offensive dominance the Colts have displayed for eight weeks. The Colts rank fourth in passing offense and fifth in rushing offense, leading the league with 270 points scored. This offense has gone up against multiple defenses that have given other teams a ton of trouble, and have answered the bell every time. This Colts team doesn't back down from anyone and has proven itself to be one of, if not the best, offenses in the league. But if you don't trust me, you may listen to Manning.
