Peyton Manning's Jerry Jones Joke Goes Viral At CMA Music Awards

The Dallas Cowboys have been so abysmal this season that they were trolled at the CMA Music Awards this Wednesday. To be fair, that's because Peyton Manning was one of the show's hosts.

Manning ran the show alongside country stars Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson. He has plenty of experience in the spotlight, so he didn't disappoint while he was on stage. During the opening of the CMA Music Awards, the Hall of Famer brought up Kelsea Ballerini’s album Cowboys Cry Too before dunking on Jerry Jones and his NFL franchise.

"This is the year we discovered that Cowboys Cry Too," Manning said. "But enough about Jerry Jones."

Ouch.

Jones has not responded to Manning's joke from the CMA Music Awards. We're not even sure how he'd come back from this one.

Earlier this week, the Cowboys were blown out at home by the Houston Texans. Their last win came on Oct. 6 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Despite how poorly the Cowboys have played over the past five weeks, Jones refuses to hit the panic button.

"We won one game my first year," Jones said Monday. "One. And so have we had rough seasons? Yes. Yeah, I've been around. Certainly we have. And we've had other tough years. And this one, we didn't anticipate the record. And the way we're playing right now, we wouldn't have anticipated that. But, not, this isn't -- y'all have heard me tell these old stories until you're sick -- but not, you stay in this league long enough, you'll have times like this."

The Cowboys will face the Washington Commanders this Sunday. We'll see if they can stop bleeding then.
