PFF Names One Last Free-Agent Move Bengals Should Make in 2025 Offseason

Pro Football Focus writer Mason Cameron had one last move for each AFC team to make this offseason, including adding more offensive line juice in Cincinnati to protect Joe Burrow up the middle.

Cincinnati drafted guards Dylan Fairchild and Jalen Rivers in the third and sixth rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

"Addressing glaring issues on the interior offensive line was one of the Bengals' priorities this offseason," Cameron wrote."The team acquired Lucas Patrick and re-signed Cody Ford, as well as drafted Fairchild on Day 2, but is that enough to fix the issue? Signing Brandon Scherff would amplify the unit, as his 78.0 PFF pass-blocking grade over the past two seasons ranks in the 94th percentile."

Adding Scherff is the highest-ceiling option to round out the 2025 Bengals offensive line. PFF currently projects him to sign for just $6 million on a one-year deal.

Even accounting for the practice squad and rookie deals, Cincinnati has more than enough cap space to make that happen. Over The Cap has them sitting with over $26.5 million in space as of this writing.
