PFF suggests Ravens sign three-time Pro Bowl edge-rusher

Teams can never have enough pass rushers and Pro Football Focus thinks that's exactly how the Ravens should be thinking with their championship aspirations for the 2023 season.

PFF says that Baltimore should sign veteran edge rusher Melvin Ingram III, who "has been a pillar of consistency in the NFL, recording nine straight seasons with a 70.0-plus pass-rush grade."

Ingram III, a three-time Pro Bowler, had six sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 2022 after signing a one-year deal with the Dolphins.

The 34-year-old is certainly on the back end of his career but has proven time and time again that he still has good football left in him to play, outplaying his compensation once again.

He would also provide some insurance to the group as the Ravens' 2022 second-round pick David Ojabo, who tore his Achilles during his rookie year, and Tyus Bowser missed significant time due to injuries in 2022.

Baltimore signed veteran edge rusher Justin Houston to a one-year deal in July last offseason, so it makes sense they could be gearing up to make a similar move for Ingram III this year.

The Ravens still have almost $10M in cap space and adding a player like Ingram III would make a lot of sense to help fill the void left behind by Houston.

If they decide to try and squeeze whatever ball is left in Ingram III, he could certainly help push for a Super Bowl in 2023.
