PFN 3-Round Mock Draft has Miami Selecting…

The folks at ProFootballNetwork released a 3-round 2026 Mock Draft, and with the Miami Dolphins having four selections in the first three rounds, here is who they have the Miami Dolphins taking next April.

Round 1, Pick #5: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio St

Between Tyreek Hill’s season-ending injury and their slow start on defense, things seem to be quickly falling apart for the Miami Dolphins. They could go in many different directions in Round 1, but in this 2026 NFL Mock Draft, they take a blue-chip prospect for their secondary who might just be the best overall player in the class.

Caleb Downs is a big, brilliant defensive back with elite range, sharp processing, and positional versatility. Downs is effective in coverage, disruptive against the run, and brings strong ball skills and effort as a downhill tackler. He has all the makings of a future All-Pro if he translates his level of dominance into the pros.

Round 2, Pick #36: John Mateer, QB, Oklahoma

Given the instability the Dolphins have at quarterback, they might look to give Tua Tagovailoa some competition or try to move on from him altogether. John Mateer is a true gamer who’s accurate, tough, and has underrated zip behind his throws. He doesn’t have an elite ceiling, but he’s one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch in this class.

Round 3, Pick #72: Tacario Davis, CB, Washington

Had he declared for this year’s draft, Tacario Davis likely would’ve been a Day 2 selection. His length, fluidity, and route-recognition abilities give him legitimate starting upside along the perimeter in the pros.

Round 3, Pick #74: Eric Singleton, Jr., Auburn

In two seasons at Georgia Tech, Eric Singleton Jr. showcased inside-outside versatility and elite speed on tape. He’s carried on those traits over to Auburn, so there’s no reason to think he can’t be a serious complementary weapon in the NFL.
