The Philadelphia Eagles are Reportedly Looking Into a Maxx Crosby Trade

Maxx Crosby trade rumors are one of the most popular storylines of the 2026 NFL offseason. Unsurprisingly, the Philadelphia Eagles are at the forefront regarding potential suitors. The Eagles could potentially be involved in the two highest-profile trades of the offseason.

Philadelphia Eagles: Maxx Crosby Trade?

Sports Illustrated insider Albert Breer offered some insight into many of the NFL’s biggest offseason storylines. Among other things, a Maxx Crosby trade was something he touched on. He had this to say regarding the possibility of the Raiders’ All-Pro being on the move:

I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week. But there’s going to have to be some needle-threading. I don’t think the Raiders want to go through the song-and-dance of shopping him, nor do I believe Crosby wants it advertised that he’s looking for suitors, given his bond with owner Mark Davis, and his view of himself as a Raider…We should know soon enough which path the Raiders are taking, with teams like Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia, and the Rams keeping tabs on his availability.”

While the Eagles are showing interest, they are far from the only team. Trading for Crosby would be a huge difference maker for their defense, although it would not come cheaply. With all these teams interested, it could become a bidding war. Although the Eagles may be interested, their ability to trade for Crosby would come down to the cost.

Cost of a Deal

As one of the elite players in the NFL, a Maxx Crosby trade would not be cheap. However, it is still something the Eagles would be able to accomplish. Especially if they can receive additional picks from an A.J. Brown trade.

Breer continued to discuss what it might cost:

Vegas, to be sure, isn’t going to give Crosby away. I also believe, though, that it’d be difficult to find the haul that the Raiders got for Khalil Mack eight years ago, or what Dallas got for Micah Parsons last year, or what the Dolphins received for Laremy Tunsil in 2019. All of those guys were traded for packages fronted by two first-round picks. All of those guys were also much younger, nearing the ends of their rookie deals.”

For the Eagles, it is a relief to hear that it would not cost two first-round picks. That would almost certainly drive them out of trade negotiations. Only parting with one first-round pick, though, is something Howie Roseman may just do. Now, it would likely be a first-round pick attached to something else, perhaps a first-round pick and a young, starting-level player. Possibly, a first and third-round pick would be the asking price. While still a hefty price to pay, this is one Roseman could swing. Especially to acquire a player of Crosby’s pedigree. The Eagles have a history of trading with the Raiders as well, having made a player-for-player swap right before the 2025 season. If the Eagles are serious about a Maxx Crosby trade, they will need to act fast. Breer predicting it could happen as soon as this week does not give them much time. Being able to pull this off, though, would reestablish the Philadelphia Eagles as one of the league’s top Super Bowl contenders.
