Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, fresh off delivering the franchise’s second Lombardi Trophy in February after guiding his team to two Super Bowl appearances in three seasons, received a massive commitment from the organization, ensuring he won’t be going anywhere for a while.
Monday, the Eagles announced that the franchise had reached an agreement on a long-term extension with Sirianni ahead of the 2025 season which was slated to be the final year of his contract.
“As an organization,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement released by the team. “We have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success. Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership.
“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
Since his arrival in 2021, the Eagles have made four consecutive trips to the postseason under Sirianni, with two Super Bowl appearances and one championship.
Sirriani boasts a career .706 winning percentage and the Eagles clearly are hoping that he remains on the sidelines in Philadelphia for years to come.
