The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Monday that it will be parting ways with former Alabama defensive back Eli Ricks.

Ricks was waived by the Eagles following the team’s third and final preseason game against the Cleveland Browns where it lost 22-13.

Ricks appeared in 23 games across two seasons with the Eagles after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2023.

During that time span, Ricks recorded 21 total tackles, three pass deflections and one tackle for loss and also added a Super Bowl ring last year after the Eagles win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Prior to his NFL career, Ricks arrived at Alabama through the transfer portal after playing two seasons at LSU. During his one season with the Crimson Tide, Ricks appeared in nine games securing 13 total tackles, four pass defections and one interception.

He will now be on the hunt for his next NFL home.
