Longtime Philadelphia Eagles star Brandon Graham announced his retirement.
Graham, who spent his entire career with the Eagles, revealed his retirement in a Tuesday press conference. The 36-year-old tallied 76.5 sacks and 23 forced fumbles in 15 seasons.
Following his announcement, the Eagles celebrated the defensive lineman's decorated run on social media.
"One of the best to ever wear the midnight green," the Eagles said. "Thank you for 15 incredible seasons, Brandon Graham. Congratulations on an amazing NFL career."
The Eagles also released a statement from chairman and CEO Jeffrey LurieĀ
"Without question, Brandon Graham is the embodiment of everything you would want in a Philadelphia Eagle. He's a special player and a special person. It's only fitting that he has played in more games than anyone else in the history of our franchise," Lurie said.
Lurie praised the two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee's "infectious" energy and "exemplary leadership, integrity, and class."
"Of all the things that make him special though, it is Brandon's character and gracious nature that have always stood out to me the most," Lurie said. "We could not be prouder of the player, person, and family man that Brandon has become."
An emotional Graham told reporters that he "gave everything I had" and has "no regrets" about his career.
Graham said he'd be "begging" the Eagles to return for another season had they not won the Super Bowl. He returned from a triceps injury to play 13 snaps in Philadelphia's 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
"I was happy to be able to make it back, to play with my guys, put that uniform on one last time," Graham said. "... Me being able to be a part of that, that was all I needed to know. I felt like my prayers were answered."
Lurie said Graham "played an integral role" in Philadelphia's recent success. He retires a two-time Super Bowl champion.
"Although Brandon is officially retiring as a player, we know that his impact on our team will continue to be felt for many years to come, whether it is through the culture he helped build or his future endeavors," Lurie said. "On behalf of the Philadelphia Eagles, we congratulate Brandon on an incredible career and wish him and his family all the best in retirement."
