Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be doing the unthinkable with their coaching staff following latest statement from key shotcaller
USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers seemingly think that all of their fans have forgotten how their season ended.

After dropping five straight games and incurring another first-round exit, the team has yet to make any significant changes to their staff.

And according to Art Rooney himself, don't expect any...

Steelers to retain Terly Austin at DC

"Mike certainly knows that he's evaluating his staff and will continue to do so," Steelers owner Art Rooney II  said on the team's YouTube channe l. "But the coaching staff, I think most of it will stay in place. Our coordinators, I think, will stay in place. "I look forward to having Arthur Smith for a second year and having him have more of an opportunity tokind of really put his system in place. So there's work to be done. And for the most part, I think we have the right people and the right jobs to do it."

Anytime your defense ends the season by allowing over 300 rushing yards and 400 yards total before the third quarter even breaks, you should probably be looking for some answers to your problems.

That's exactly what happened to the Steelers against the Baltimore Ravens, yet apparently, everything is just fine.

And that's just the play on the field. That doesn't account for everything that was brewing in terms of cultural issues within the locker room. You had veterans in the back seven openly quitting in a playoff game.

Sure, Patrick Queen did come out to say that he had the flu after the game but what about Donte Jackson? He would tackle a soul. What about the fact that Kirk Herbstreit had to call the team out for not looking like the Pittsburgh Steelers in terms of their effort and intensity?

And does that all fall on Teryl Austin or any coach not named Mike Tomlin for that matter? Probably not, but it doesn't mean nothing should change because all that's doing is delaying the inevitable first-round playoff loss at this point.
