Aaron Rodgers’ free agency saga is far from over. The QB is one of the top players waiting to bag a contract with a team. Several teams have been linked with Rodgers off late, including the Pittsburgh Steelers. Many analysts believe that Rodgers might join the Steelers. However, some beg to differ.
The NFL star reportedly got invited to join the New Orleans Saints earlier this week. Rogers to the Saints will be a great match. Fans would love to watch him back with New Orleans, but Rodgers has other plans. Recently, a fan asked Rodgers if he would consider playing for the Saints.
“You are a free agent now. Would you ever consider playing for the Saints and making us [New Orleans Saints] great again?” the fan asked Rodgers.
Sadly, Aaron Rodgers turned down the offer as he was not ready to play.
“No. That’s the answer. I played there a couple of times, but no. The answer is no.” Rodgers said.
While rumors continue to swirl around Rodgers, it’s still unclear where he would land. Many analysts feel he would pick the Steelers if given the opportunity.
Rodgers has not given a sure answer as to where he would join. He’s waiting to find a team that would suit him best. During his free agency, the NFL star has dropped hints, and most of them have led to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Recently, Rodgers appeared at an event in Austin, Texas, with rapper Mike Stud. During a question-and-answer session, Rodgers was asked if he would play for the Chicago Bears. Again, he provided a response that is leading to the Steelers.
“I believe there’s a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip,” Aaron Rodgers said.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are up against the Chicago Cubs in their Week 12 schedule. Many started to link Rodgers with the Steelers after his response. When asked for more details, Rodgers failed to explain, stating that he loves Chicago.
“I love Chicago though. Way more than they love me,” Rodgers continued.
It’s left up to Rodgers to make a decision, especially since the Steelers are showing interest. Steelers owner Art Rooney II mentioned that the team would wait a little longer for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision. As time nears, Rodgers is expected to make a decision soon.
