Player auctioning Chiefs Super Bowl ring one month after receiving it

The Kansas City Chiefs received their Super Bowl rings last month, and one player already is parting ways with his little piece of history.

Mike Weber, who was a member of the team's practice squad during the 2019 campaign, is selling his ring via Goldin Auctions. The ring started at $35,000, and the current bid already is at $65,000 as of early Friday afternoon.

Weber, a former Ohio State running back, could receive as much as six figures for his ring, according to TMZ Sports.

The 10-karat gold ring features the Chiefs logo and contains 234 diamonds, which represent the 60 seasons played by the Chiefs, the 100 NFL seasons, the Chiefs' 22 playoff appearances, their two Super Bowl titles and the 50 years between both titles.

One side of the ring includes the player's name in gold, his number in diamonds and banners honoring the 1969 and 2019 championships. The other side includes the words "Chiefs Kingdom" and a Super Bowl LIV logo with the score of the game.

The inside of the band includes the scores of the Chiefs' three postseason games and the player's signature.
