Prayers Are Pouring In For Tank Dell After His Injury Diagnosis

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell suffered a devastating leg injury in Saturday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dell dislocated his left knee, in addition to suffering a torn ACL and other damage, when his teammate Jared Wayne accidentally dove into his leg while diving for a pass in the end zone. Dell actually caught the pass from C.J. Stroud for a touchdown, but unfortunately was lost for the season in the process, with his career also hanging in the balance.

‘Right now, the focus is just on Tank, just going through this process, getting the surgery, getting recovered, we’ll deal with that when it comes,” Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. “I don’t think it’s the time right now to discuss what’s going to happen next season with Tank, just allow him to get this time to heal up and recover.”

Dell's injury left his teammates visibly shaken, with Stroud and others shedding tears on the field as he was escorted away in an ambulance.

Following the announcement of his full injury diagnosis Monday, Dell was the recipient of an outpouring of social media support.

"Absolutely brutal. Tank Dell who caught that TD on Saturday, not only dislocated his kneecap, but tore his ACL. Done for the season. Devastating given how talented he is and what he dealt with a year ago. Prayers for a speedy recovery Tank!" said a Ravens fan.

"Prayers up to Tank Dell on his recovery. #NFL," added a Steelers fan account.

"Prayers up for Tank Dell," a third commenter added.

"Tough scene. Football is my favorite sport in the world, but these dudes really take some rough beatings. Hope Tank recovers well!" a Chiefs can chimed in.

"That’s horrible news, wishing for a speedy recovery," a fifth person said.

Sadly, this is the second year in a row that Dell has suffered a serious leg injury. Hopefully, he'll be able to return to the field at some point down the line, but his overall health is more important.

We're wishing him the best.
