Predicting Five Offensive Stars Of Chargers Training Camp

Los Angeles Chargers training camp is around the corner, so there’s no better time to guess which players will be standouts. Here’s who may show out on the offense:  

Chargers Quarterback, Justin Herbert

Herbert has been working on his footwork all offseason, leading with his left foot instead of his right in shotgun, and all of the adjustments should come together beautifully in training camp. The reports will hopefully say that he’s not holding onto the ball and fully unleashing his arm, as he hasn’t been throwing as much this offseason.

Herbert has all the tools this year and even more weapons, especially along the offensive line, so the upcoming season is looking promising. 

Wide Receiver, Ladd McConkey 

I’ve already predicted that McConkey will be the Chargers’ number one receiver this year, and if his hamstring is good to go, as he pulled it in the offseason, he should be slotting into that role starting in training camp.

McConkey had a down 2025 after such a highlight-worthy rookie year, and hopefully training camp will set the tone for a rebound. 

Center, Tyler Biadasz

Biadasz will hopefully be showing up in camp reports for all the protection he’s providing to Herbert, as training camp will be critical for them to solidify their chemistry as well as the offensive line as a whole. And with Biadasz’s experience, having adapted to multiple teams and quarterbacks over the years, he should be the perfect captain to steer the line throughout the season. 

Running Back, Omarion Hampton 

Hampton should be explosive this training camp, as he’s had an entire offseason to not only get healthy from multiple injuries, but also to get ready for this upcoming season, free from draft prep.

He’s the Chargers’ true number one running back on this team now without Najee Harris in the mix. He’ll have some competition from Kimani Vidal and Keaton Mitchell but should be showing off in drills and living up to his first-round pick status. 

Tight End, Oronde Gadsden

I expect a hot start for Gadsden in training camp. He was one of last year’s stars, and though he had a few blunders, he lived up to the hype. Besides receiving highlights, hopefully we’ll see some developments in his blocking, and perhaps he’ll get extra help from fullback Alec Ingold and tight end Charlie Kolar in that department. He was one of the most reliable weapons Herbert had last year and should be in a similar position this season.
