Training camp, roster cuts, and all of the offseason activities are finally over, and now it's time to focus on one thing: Week 1 of the regular season. The Washington Commanders took the practice field for the first time as a 53-man roster after releasing a lot of players for roster cuts, but they also received a massive addition today.

The biggest storyline of the offseason came to an end earlier this week, thankfully, and All-Pro WR Terry McLaurin is now back with his team on the practice field with some heavier pockets and long-term stability with the team.

The clock was ticking, but all the non-football stuff is out of the way, and now the stuff on the field is all that matters from here on out.

He has arrived

The moment we have all been waiting for has finally happened, and McLaurin is back with his team where he wanted to be, and it's time to get ready for the season with Week 1 right around the corner. All of the contract talk is over, and it's time to play some football. We got our first look at McLaurin on the practice field for the first time since the early phases of the offseason.

The Commanders host the New York Giants in less than two weeks, and every single one of these practices with be crucial for McLaurin and the offense. McLaurin's connection with Daniels will always be strong, but there are so many other new pieces and new parts of the offense to learn on the field, and the team needs to gel.

McLaurin has been doing work separate from the team and rehabbing his ankle in the meantime, but there's nothing like actually being on the field and seeing every play take place and not just watching it on film. Noah Brown returned to practice for the first time in a long time as well, and having your starters getting their first reps together at the end of August isn't ideal, but we have to trust that the offense will hit the ground running.

The contract situation was exhausting, but it's refreshing to see McLaurin back on the field catching passes from Daniels again. The hype and buildup for the season is starting to build back up again with everything in the rear view mirror, and the path to the Super Bowl is approaching quickly with McLaurin and Daniels leading the way.
