AFC West teams have made several huge additions this offseason, and the Las Vegas Raiders decided on Wednesday that it was their turn.
Chandler Jones has agreed to a deal with the Raiders, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The star pass-rusher is expected to make $17 million per year.
Expect this deal to come in around $17 million a year. Big money for Chandler Jones and a big get for the new regime in Las Vegas. https://t.co/3o8dL8ytSU

Jones, 32, recorded 10.5 sacks and six forced fumbles with the Arizona Cardinals last season. He bounced back in a big way after missing most of 2020 with a biceps injury. He has been one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL for years.
Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill recently indicated that the team wanted Jones back, but only at the right price. Jones had a cryptic response on social media.
Jones was reportedly determined to play for a contender, but the Raiders might have a tough time making the playoffs next season. They may be the worst team in the division after Russell Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos, though that is more of a compliment to the rest of the division than an insult to them. Either way, Jones will help.
