Pro Bowl WR DK Metcalf discusses future with Seahawks

In an exclusive interview with CBS Sports , Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf opened up about what he sees in his future with the team.

"I want to help bring a championship to the Seahawks organization," the third-year wideout said. "Seattle is an incredible city and this fanbase is unmatched. I'm so grateful to be here and part of such a great culture. I try to not look too far into the future and really try to focus on what's happening in the present, and right now, I'm very happy being in Seattle."

Metcalf has put up stellar numbers over his first two seasons in the league, registering 141 catches for 2,203 yards and 17 touchdowns while averaging 15.6 yards per catch. He enters the upcoming campaign one of just four players since the league merged in 1966 to register 2,200 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns and average 15 yards per catch in the first two seasons.

Even after such a stellar start, the Mississippi product is still looking to develop his game.

"Personally, I really just want to keep improving day in and day out," he told CBS. "I'm always going to strive to be the best that I can be and honestly, I feel like I'm really just getting started."

Naturally, the conversation also covered quarterback Russell Wilson. Metcalf said the star signal-caller has been a mentor for him.

"I've spent a lot of time with Russ during the offseason and during the season," he said. "He's the epitome of greatness and perfection; he comes in and does it right every day. I have so many great things to say about him, so I'm looking forward to many years to come."
